Henok Mulueberhan won the seventh stage of the 2023 Tour of Qinghai Lake with a time of two hours, 54 minutes and 19 seconds on Saturday.
GONGHE, China, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Henok Mulueberhan of the Italian Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizane team clinched the seventh stage of the 2023 Tour of Qinghai Lake, clocking in at two hours, 54 minutes and 19 seconds on Saturday.
Spanning a total distance of 127 kilometers, the seventh stage journeyed from Xihai to Gonghe, incorporating two intermediate sprints and two climbs.
Hot on Mulueberhan's heels was Myagmarsuren Baasankhuu of the Mongolia National Road Cycling Team, seizing second place, and Antonio Eric Fagundez Lima of the Spanish team Burgos-BH, who secured third.
Following the seventh stage, Fagundez Lima maintained his lead in the General Individual Classification, donning the prestigious yellow jersey. Mulueberhan trailed in second place in the General Individual Classification, retaining the green sprinter's jersey.
Saeid Safarzadeh of the Tianyoude Hotel Cycling Team received the blue jersey, emblematic of the best Asian rider. Meanwhile, Alessio Nieri, also from the Italian Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizane team, preserved his hold on the polka-dot jersey, indicative of the top climber.
