"Brigade N'Hamedu Germany"

The Federal Prosecutor's Office has arrested two suspected members of the Eritrean terrorist group "Brigade N'Hamedu Germany" in Stuttgart and near Saarbrücken. The charge: membership in a domestic terrorist organization. An investigating judge at the Federal Court of Justice issued arrest warrants, according to a spokesperson for the Federal Prosecutor's Office. The suspects have been remanded in custody.
According to the Federal Prosecutor's Office, the association's goal is to overthrow the authoritarian government in Eritrea. It pursued this goal in Germany through violence at events held by supporters of the Eritrean government. The association was reportedly responsible, among other things, for violent clashes at an Eritrean event in Stuttgart in 2023, where members of the association encountered supporters of the regime.
