105 people have been taken into custody and five have been arrested in Husby after a conflict between two groups degenerated in connection with a party.

The police have launched a preliminary investigation into the riot.

Work for several hours

The operation has been going on for several hours. The police were already alerted in the afternoon to Husby after they received an alarm about a “disturbance”.

But it was only around 7 pm that the police started taking people into custody. According to reports, the police also used pepper spray.

The police have taken a large number of people into custody in Husby.

It is unclear what the conflict was about

The police confirm that there has been a party in Husby centre. But they do not want to comment on the information that it can be connected to the fight. They are also tight-lipped about the background to the conflict that degenerated.

A large number of resources were alerted to the scene and several of the police have been seen wearing riot helmets. A police helicopter has also taken part in the operation.

The police presence remains large at the scene.

No one should be injured

According to the police, it is about two groups with “differences of opinion” which led to disturbances which then escalated and turned into a fight.

During the afternoon, a person was also arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. The police have no information about anyone being injured.

– In any case, no one has had to be taken to hospital, says Helena Boström Thomas.

The police do not want to go into any details about what the fight was about.
