Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris heads to Asmara on an official visit.
Port Sudan 9-10-2025 (SUNA) - Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris headed to Asmara today, Thursday, on his first visit to the State of Eritrea after assuming the premiership, heading a high-level delegation that includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Muhi El-Din Salem, the Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism, Professor Khaled Al-Aiser, and a number of advisors.
The two-day visit will include meetings with President Isaias Afwerki and a number of Eritrean officials.
He was seen off at Port Sudan Airport by Health Minister Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Agriculture Minister Professor Ismat Qureshi, and a number of officials.
It is worth noting the depth and excellence of Sudanese-Eritrean relations at all levels, as well as the supportive stance of Eritrea, both government and people, towards Sudan and its security and stability.
The visit to Asmara is an opportunity to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and to strengthen the strong ties between the two peoples in all fields.
