Cycling is increasingly global. In the same moments in which the third stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné in L'Ile Maurice (Mauritius for English speakers), an island off the Indian Ocean, took place in France, the first of the four stages of the Tour de Maurice ended. The Beau Plan - Côte d'Or took place over a distance of 128 kilometers and saw the 31-year-old Frenchman Stéfan Bennett (EuroCyclingTrips Pro Cycling Team) win solo .

27" behind the winner, an "old acquaintance" of Italian cycling crossed the finish line : Sergey Rostovtsev, who wore the Team Giorgi jersey as a Junior and currently defends the colors of the Turkish Continental Beykoz Belediyesi Spor Kulübü.  The Eritrean Dawit Yemane of Bike Aid concluded in third position .

About eighty runners representing sixteen formations are entered in the Mauritian competition, among which the national representatives of Mauritius, Algeria, Seychelles and Reunion, a French overseas department, stand out. Our countrymen's athletes are not included in the entry list, but the expert Rosella Bonfanti is in the running as President of the panel of judges.

Cycling is increasingly global, tuttobiciweb will try to tell you some good stories from Ile Maurice in the next few days.
