On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Eritrea on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of your nation. The last year has seen great progress as Eritrea has made strides to strengthen cooperation on shared interests across the region, though challenges remain. May our nations’ common hopes for peace and prosperity continue to bear fruit.
