Horn of Africa is Entering A New Era

East Africa is entering a new era of major infrastructure and industrial development.

The projects highlighted by Business Insider Africa shows how strategically important "ports" "energy" and "industrial corridors" are becoming across the region.

Eritrea also to become an important mineral-export hub through its strategic Red Sea coastline, Aseb and Massawa.

The Colluli potash project in Eritrea’s Danakil region has an estimated mine life of approximately 200 years, with access to global markets through the Red Sea.

Eritrea can build a long-term strategy to export potash, gold, copper, zinc, silver, salt and other minerals through Massawa and Assab, connecting Eritrean resources to markets across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.

Aseb’s location on a major Red Sea shipping route provides direct access toward markets in India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.

The opportunity is bigger than mining alone: value-added processing, modern ports, transportation infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and skilled employment can turn Eritrea’s mineral resources into a long-term economic foundation.

Eritrea’s Red Sea coastline + mineral resources + strategic ports = an opportunity to build for the next 200 years.

The Horn of Africa is critically important because it sits at the crossroads of vital global trade routes and major geopolitical compitition that's why we see a lot of involvement interferences from other countries to get a piece of that pie.

My vision for Eritrea: using the power of mathematics to inspire innovation, education, and nation-building. Let’s build a stronger future together.
