The Vice President of the Sovereignty Council meets with the Eritrean President

The Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, met today with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki. He briefed him on the latest developments in Sudan, particularly the humanitarian and military situation, and Sudan's position on international initiatives.
Aqar explained that the meeting also touched on regional and international developments and attempts to seize the resources of African countries, stressing Sudan’s readiness to cooperate with Eritrea and all countries in the region to develop a strategy to combat the phenomenon of soft occupation carried out through agents and operatives within the African countries themselves.
For his part, the Eritrean President affirmed his solidarity with the government and people of Sudan, noting that Eritrea hosts large numbers of Sudanese in their second homeland without any restrictions or conditions.
At the end of the visit, the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council held a meeting with the Sudanese community in Eritrea and briefed them on the developments in Sudan.
