Ardabil-IRNA- Saeed Safarzadeh, our national athlete, became the champion of the fourth stage of the 37th Iran-Azerbaijan cycling tour.
According to IRNA , the fourth stage of the 37th Iran-Azerbaijan Cycling Tour ended with the participation of 61 cyclists in 11 domestic and foreign teams.
According to this report, in this stage, after Saeed Safarzadeh, who won the golden jersey, Eritrean Milkias Maekele from the German Bike Aid team took second place, and Orken Ahmed from Turkey came third.
The 37th Iran-Azerbaijan International Cycling Tour will be hosted by the three provinces of East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, and Ardabil, with the participation of seven foreign teams and four domestic teams. In this stage, cyclists rode 197 kilometers from Tabriz to Sarein.
The teams of Bike Aid Germany, Jakarta Pro Indonesia, Wino Kazakhstan, Spor Toto Turkey, Istanbul Belediyespor Turkey, the national teams of Iraq and Uzbekistan are participating in the competition.
The four Iranian teams in these competitions are Sahand Pump Tabriz, TRT Zanjan, Viride Iran, and the Iranian national team.
The first stage of the tour was held on Tuesday on the Tabriz-Urmia route, covering a distance of 153 kilometers, with a German cyclist winning the stage.
The second stage was held on Wednesday on the Urmia-Jolfa route, covering a distance of 212 kilometers, and a Turkish cyclist won the stage.
The third stage was held yesterday on the Jolfa-Shabestar route, covering a distance of 128 kilometers, and the German cyclist won this stage, while Iran took second place.
By the end of the third stage of this round of the competition, the German Bike Aid team is in first place, the Islamic Republic of Iran national team is in second place, and Istanbul Belediyespor, Türkiye, is in third place overall.
In the mountain jersey, Rudolf Remkhi from the Vino Kazakhstan team is in first place, Hassan Seifollahi from the Islamic Republic national team is in second place, and Mohammad Darzi from the Viride Iran team is in third place.
In the white jersey, Milkias Maekele from the German Bike Aid team is in first place, On Yemane from the Turkish Istanbul Belediyespor team is in second place, and Yuel Habteab from the German Bike Aid team is in third place.
In the green jersey, Milkias Maekele from the German Bike Aid team is in first place, Dawit Yemane from the German Bike Aid team is in second place, and Khalil Khorshid from the Iranian Viride team is in third place.
