The Moselle international demonstrated his class on a windswept course and in a race led by Félix Bour. His time of 1 h 03:38 commands admiration. Among the ladies, the Eritrean Mekdes Woldu was too strong.
Among the women, victory for the Eritrean Mekdes Woldu in the excellent time of 1 h 13''54.
We will wait only ten short minutes to see the first woman arrive in this half-marathon. Mekdes Woldu, a little flea, light as a feather, with a touching smile, raised on the plateau of Eritrea, political refugee and made redundant in Franconville.
Victorious of the famous classic “La Parisienne” in 2019, Woldu quickly let go of the Ethiopian Meseret Gezahegn who will finally finish third, Emeline Delanis, the athlete from Viry-Châtillon having finished much better.
This final and its last hectometers which seemed interminable for Lorraine Claude Jacquot which stumbled for… five seconds against the wall of 1h 18. Whatever! Émilie broke her record!
