NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 27 - The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, today had in New York - in the framework of the meetings established on the occasion of his participation in the 73rd UNGA - a cordial and articulate meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Ethiopia, Workneh Gebeyehu, and Eritrea, Osman Saleh. The meeting, organized in support of the agreement between Ethiopia and Eritrea of ​​September 16th in Jeddah and the ongoing peace process, is part of the consolidated framework of Italy's excellent relations with both countries, the Farnesina indicated.

The conclusion of the Agreement assumes a significant value and is a fundamental step for the stabilization of the so-called Horn of Africa. Moavero noted how the peace achieved between Ethiopia and Eritrea is a great result, able to deploy its positive effects on the entire region. The Minister, the note continues, recalling the historic Italian commitment to the two countries, assured to his interlocutors the convinced and effective support of Italy for the full implementation of the Peace Agreement, both bilaterally and in various international fora. and multilateral.

Italy - underlined Moavero - is motivated and ready to accompany the economic growth and sustainable development of Ethiopia and Eritrea, through a structured strategy, with investments, cooperation interventions and programs of education and professional training, to enhance human capital of the two countries. In order to deepen the reflections on the positive effects that the peace agreement can have in the whole
