In response to invitation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Presidents of Djibouti and Eritrea hold historic meeting in Jeddah

Jeddah, Muharram 07, 1440, September 17, 2018, SPA -- In response to the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of Djibouti Ismaïl Omar Guelleh and President of Eritrea Isaias Afwerki held a historic meeting in Jeddah after 10 years of alienation.
The meeting took place in the presence of Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Said, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
At the start of the meeting, the two presidents expressed appreciation and gratitude for the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to hold this meeting to open a new page between the two countries, signifying the kingdom's keenness and interest in peace and stability in the region.
