Ethiopia, premier Hailemariam has submitted his resignation

Breaking: PM Hailemariam Desalegn has submitted a resignation letter from his role as Prime Minister and Chairman of Ethiopia's ruling #EPRDF, said he hopes his resignation will be accepted by the executive of the party, according to The Reporter NP. Rome, 15th February (askanews) - Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has submitted his resignation from the leadership of the government and the presidency of the coalition government of the Revolutionary Democratic Front of the Ethiopian People (EPRDF). This is what the Ethiopian newspaper The Reporter writes, underlining that "it is the first time in the history of the country". According to the same newspaper, the resignation was accepted.
Hailemariam became premier in 2012 after the sudden death of Meles Zenawi, of which he was vice premier.
