Belgian Loïc Vliegen (Circus-Wanty Gobert) won the 35th edition of the Tour du Doubs cyclist on Sunday. The 200 km course linked Morteau to Pontarlier.

The 26-year-old rider managed to outdo the other competitors in the last kilometer of the race at the exit of Larmont, the last difficulty of the day and traditional justice of the peace of the event.

He thus beat the Eritrean Biniam Girmay Hailu (Nippo Delko One Provence) and the Frenchman Aurélien Paret-Peintre (AG2R La Mondiale).

Vliegen thus climbs to second place in the general classification of the Coupe de France, ex-aequo with Bryan Coquard and Benoit Cosnefroy, behind Josef Cerny (Ccc Team).

Classification of the Coupe de France (after the 4th round):

  1. Josef Cerny (CZE) 64 points
  2. Loic Vliegen (BEL) 50 pts
  3. Bryan Coquard (FRA) 50 pts
  4. Benoit Cosnefroy (FRA) 50 pts
  5. Biniam Girmay Hailu (ERI) 35 pts
