June 8th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – A Kenyan University lecturer and professor say the two rival South Sudan’s leaders, President Kiir, and rebel leader Riek Machars should be locked in a room for Seven days and opened out until the two, in addition to Raila Odinga who would mediate between them, came out of the room hugging each other as a sign that they have signed a peace agreement for the people of South Sudan.

Professor Noah Ochieng, the Vice Chancellor of the Kenya College of Accountancy made the remarks during a talk show with the Kenyan Television NTV.

“Its time Salva Kiir and Riek Machar be locked in one room perhaps with Raila Odinga for one week and they come out hugging each other for the sake of South Sudan,” the Professor said.

The professor stressed the need for the region to take decisions to help South Sudan from disintegrating saying the country has affected the whole region and that it is responsibility of the region to thwart the catastrophe.

“We must understand that what happened in South Sudan affects Kenya, affects Ethiopia, affects the whole ecosystem in the region,” he told the NTV.

Kenya’s peace envoy and former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga is currently in South Africa for talks with South Sudan’s former First Vice-President and prominent opposition and SPLM-IO leader Riek Machar and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa over peace efforts in the young African country.
