On Friday, hundreds of Israeli children protested in Tel Aviv against the deportation of illegal African migrants from Israel. The children marched alongside asylum seekers and illegal African migrants in solidarity.

The march began at Habima Square and concluded at Rabin Square, a common place for local protests. Children marched with the African migrants and their families. The children stated that their message was that, if anyone were able to reach the hearts of the citizens, it would be the children.

Several top US Jewish Zionist leaders have urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against a government plan to deport illegal African migrants from Israel, cautioning that Israel may suffer from “incalculable damage” to the ethical standing of Israel and the Jewish people.
On Thursday, Israel’s High Court released a temporary ruling for the state, ordering it to stop the expulsion of asylum seekers from Israel until it submits a response to a petition made to the court against the expulsion. According to the Justice’s ruling, the state's reply must be submitted by March 26.
