From your previous experiences, what is the difference working in Eritrea than other places?
Actually working in management requires the same aptitude throughout the world. In Eritrea, there is a huge potential that many do not know and that’s what we are trying to do through our work. It can be challenging for me to show and prove to anyone that you can make quality products outside of Europe.
How is it to work in Eritrea?
Working in another continent is a great challenge. There aren’t many people who dare to get out of their comfort zone. It is so cherishing to learn from different cultures and Eritrean people are very nice and a pleasure to work with. The country is also beautiful with a huge potential for further development.
We are at the mid-year of 2019, so far how is the production of shirts going?
I believe that the best person to answer this question is the CEO, Pietro Zambaiti as the Factory has been up and running for about 15 years now and he could provide a good comparison between now and then. In my view, thanks to the owner, the company managed to set the production at European standards in terms of quality and production. I think that the company is on the right track and since I am here we have witnessed an increase in shirt production. I will stop here before being deprived of modesty (laugh).
What are the future prospects of ZAER Plc?
In the past, we managed to work for renowned brands and we continue today to produce for various clients mainly based in Europe making our factory focusing about 95% for exports. In the future, we hope to succeed in promoting our label “Made in Eritrea” to many products as possible.
What kind of advise would you give to your colleagues at ZAER.plc?
All staff working at ZAER Plc have to understand and believe that we work as a team and that is the source to success in reaching our targets. Of course I appreciate the hard work of all colleagues without whom we wouldn’t exist!
Thank you Adrian for your time with us and wish you success in your work!
