After seven months they could re-embrace. He arrived in Italy in June with his brother and was welcomed, thanks to the humanitarian corridors, to Assisi. And in the city of St. Francis today he lives permanently in an apartment located inside the bishopric, next to the room of the Spogliazione. 

In recent days, among the 85 refugees from the Horn of Africa and arrived in Italy always through the humanitarian corridors, there was also she, who is just over twenty years old and that of that young man is his wife. "I am really happy that we have succeeded in reconstructing an Eritrean family, which escaped war", says the bishop of Assisi, mgr. Domenico Sorrentino -, right here in the bishopric now Sanctuary of the Spogliazione, demonstrating a welcoming Church, as Pope Francis teaches us ".

Waiting for the woman at the airport was her husband accompanied by the assistant director of the diocesan Caritas of Assisi-Nocera Umbra-Gualdo Tadino, Rossana Galiandro. When she arrived in Assisi, the young woman was welcomed by Msgr. Sorrentino and the director of the diocesan Caritas, Maurizio Biagioni; for her, a small party was organized in the House of Mercy of Assisi, where two Eritrean families live in Italy, as part of the same project, last June. The couple will live in the lodgings set up inside the bishop's palace where the bishop, in the past years, had already hosted some Nigerian girls.
