The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomes the signing of the historic Joint Declaration of Peace and Friendship between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the State of Eritrea, which paves the way to the end of the 20-years conflict and normalization of relations between the two neighbouring countries.

This important decision of leaders of Ethiopia and Eritrea marks a new stage in the development of closer political, economic and social ties in the interest of the peoples of both countries, as well as will serve as an incentive in order to further ensure security and stability in the Horn of Africa.
