Astana Pro’s Riccardo Minali won the 208.3km second stage of the Tour de Langkawi in Kota Bahru, Malaysia, today.

The Italian completed the stage in 5:18:20, beating compatriots Matteo Malucelli (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) and Paolo Simion (Bardiani CSF) into second and third respectively.

DiData’s Mekseb Debesay (Eritrea) finished in 13th, Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier Werkilul (Eritrea) 18th, Scott Davies (Britain) 33rd, Johann Van Zyl (South Africa) 50th, Jaco Venter (South Africa) 63rd and Nicholas Dlamini (South Africa) 79th.

South Africa’s Brendon Davids, who rides for Bennelong Swisswellness Cycling, finished in 39th.
