The Eritrean Festival in Qatar

The Eritrean community in Qatar held its annual festival, which began on 23 November. His Excellency Ambassador Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, Ambassador of Eritrea, opened the festival with a number of citizens residing in Qatar as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and the diplomatic corps.
The festival included various activities and pavilions. An exhibition of antiques, traditional musical passages and artistic performances, an exhibition of photographs depicting the cultural diversity of the Eritrean people as well as a symposium on the current situation in the homeland.
The Ambassador stressed that the festival will be a great contribution to strengthening their unity in the face of challenges, as well as in preserving and transmitting social and national values to the younger generations.
HE Ambassador Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, Ambassador of Eritrea to Doha, stressed the importance of the Eritrean community festival in Doha on the one hand and convergence with the Qatari people on the other hand , pointing out that the festival highlights the customs, traditions and culture of the Eritreans and is a step to introduce the culture of Eritrea to the Qatari people and residents of the state of Qatar.
