The pioneering exponent of East Africa ambience was Tecle Adhanom, "Wizard of the Guitar". The rise of Tecle, from Asmara superstardom to fame, was no flash in the pan. By the time soul music appeared at Kagnew Station in Asmara, Tecle had already served his apprenticeship in Addis-Abeba, formed his first band “The All-Stars” in 1966, and recorded over forty best selling LP's. At the peak of his career, he was a virtuoso guitarist and musical arranger. If there ever was an African musician that was ready for international exposure, it was Tecle Adhanom. During the struggle for Eritrea’s Independence, he was one of the founders of the group "Meqalh Eritrea", which was formed in 1985. He produced memorable hits such as "Sheta Merur", “Tegadalay", "Freedom in August" (Bologna is the best), "Motherland Eritrea”. His warm baritone voice still has what it takes to move his audience.

                           SAMI BERHANE - Washington DC USATruly artist, guitarist / singer/ left Eritrea during the political unrest of the mid 1970s, first settling in the Sudan, and then Saudi Arabia, establishing a fan base wherever he performed. Residing in the U.S. in the Washington, DC area since the late 1980s, he’s since returned to perform in Eritrea on many occasions. One of Eritrea's accomplished musicians; he is a deserving recipient of the coveted Raimoq Award in Eritrea. His brilliant control and flair for improvisation means anything can happen - and usually does.

                          YEMANE FRAY Karlsruhe GermanyFor Eritreans in Diaspora and EPLF mass organization, Bologna was the capital city, during the struggle for Independence in the 70's & 80's! The first ever Eritrean Festival was held in Bologna in 1984 and several cultural troupes & artists participates that year.Yemane Fray & the cultural group from the Netherlands were the shining group. It's not so much the composition, or even the harmony, but the timbre of the voices that attracted so much attention - powerful, elemental and heart-rending memories. The melodies and lyrics such as "Equa Meshela seyweta yemesla ilom kemeselu Abotatna" will remind many the spirit of Bologna.

                        ALAZAR AKEZA - Stuttgart GermanyOn the second Bologna Festival 1986, the cultural group from Germany were awarded as the best performing group, Alazar Akeza, was the leading vocalist, creative who used traditional melodies and singing style from different ethnic groups such as Kunama and Hedareb and he was one of Bologna known faces for many years. Today, after 23 years, he will sing memorable songs such as "Tegadalay", Barca"  and from his new CD "Nacfa" which will undoubtedly take many back through memory lane.
                    ALMAZ YOHANNES - Karlsruhe GermanyArguably the very known singer ever to come out from the Tsebah School, in the field, during the struggle for independence. "Magnificent Almaz" is a striking figure, charismatic in performance, her voice capable of expressing every nuance of feeling. "I put all of myself, all of my life into every song", she has said. It was the power of her music that turned her into a spokeswoman for her people, she was the voice - serving the truth - against the Munich-based publishing house Droemer, and lawsuit contesting author of depiction of her as a brutal military commander in the book "Heart of Fire". The publishing company paid Almaz the damages without prejudice. On this tour she will sing one of her famous song "Äghawegata".

                     ALAMIN HASEBELLA - Gotenbourg SwedenAlamin is this generations most versatile and talented singer and his charismatic good looks make him effortlessly likeable and magnetic. He sings in both Bilen and Tigre and his hit song ‘Intigrah” still resonates with both the young and the old. Is one of the new generation artists, most lastingly charismatic and dynamic, and one of its most versatile and talented Tigre and Bilen singers. It's been said that whole history of Eritrea can be told through Tigre songs, and it is true that nowhere else has such a lively and potent tradition of musical comment and satire.
                TEAME W.MICHAEL - Washington DC USAVery hard working vocalist who is based in Washington DC, he is one of the new Young promising singers - His dynamic powerful singing style has inspired the youth inside and outside Eritrea.

                  HELEN MELES - London United KingdomHer rich and melancholic voice has turned heads and opened ears all round the nation. She joined the cultural troupe of the EPLF in her early teens. In 1996 she launched her solo career and suddenly, she was a star, not only in Eritrea, but internationally. Over the last 14 years, her voice has produced a host of radically different musical styles. Helen received the Raimoq Award several times. Included in this tour will be some of her signature songs, "Abaka iyu", "Firfir Ila Ayney", and "Aytesharu" and a Tigre beat.

                        SENIT - www.senit.it - Bologna Italyvoice, determination, beauty, passion, sympathy… and a contagious smiling: all in one word, SenitSenit has Eritrean roots but was born in Bologna, Italy, the most important and stimulating city in this country for the new musical movements and influences. She starts really young acting and singing in some musicals as the Italian work “Il Grande Campione” with the famous Italian showman Massimo Ranieriand “Rent”, the Walt Disney’s “Lion King” in the German edition and the Swiss edition of “Hair” and “Fame”.On 2006 came out Senit’s first album “Senit” produced by Gaetano Curreri and Saverio Grandi composed by unreleased songs written for her by Curreri and Grandi and some covers of famous Italian song writers . 
The Italian singer Zucchero chose her as opening act of the Fly Tour 2007. 
On May 2009 came out Senit’s third album “So High”, an international production, recorded in Los Angeles and composed by her with the famous musician Michael Baker that worked with Missy Elliot, Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston, that gave her the qualification of r'n’b singer. 
The 21st of June 2009, Senit was one of the 50 stars of “Amiche per l’Abruzzo”, at the San Siro stadium in Milan, female charity concert to substain the Abruzzo’s earthquake victims.The 22nd of October 2009, Senit performed at the Telethon Gran Galà 2009, with the partnership of the Rome Movie Festival 2009, in front of big personalities of the Italian economy and politics and International Artists, to support the italian research on genetic diseases. During all November 2009, Senit will be the VJ for the thematic musical channel Hip Hop TV, (on SKY digital platform), introducing all the weekly charts of the channel.
