A Conference to commemorate the 30th Anniversary
of the establishment of the NUEW
National Union of Eritrean Women
in London , UK
16-18 October 2009
The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) was established in 1979. In its current form, the NUEW is an autonomous non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the status of Eritrean women.The NUEW seeks to ensure that all Eritrean women confidently stand for their rights and equally participate in the political, economic, social,and cultural spheres of the country and share the benefits.
The NUEW 30th Anniversary in London UK, takes place at a time of great historical and cultural significance to Eritreans. It will depict the socio-economic and traditional values of the people of Eritrea, and promises to be an unforgettable must-see event for all.
The Conference will remain open to the public from Friday 16th October until Sunday 18th October 2009. The Conference will feature a variety of speakers who will be addressing various topics of interest to Eritrean women.
