We are writing this message with deep sadness to inform you of our nation’s
loss of a great hero,

*H.E. Minister Saleh Meki*

We lost a great man Friday, October 2, 2009 due to a heart attack. Minister
Saleh Meki is gone, but he will live on in the hearts and minds of all the
people he has touched and his spirit will shine forever. Eritrean
Communities nationwide are showing how much H.E. Minister Saleh Meki
impacted their lives by honoring his life today and throughout the days to
come at the memorials in his honor. Listed below are cities that have
finalized their plans for today's memorial. If you do not see your city,
