Eritrea in The London Olympics: Rooting for Daniel
Eritrean fans flying the Eritrean flag spread out along the race route to
show their support to this amazing cyclist. The pictures in this album are
captured from a video stream of the race. Although Daniel crossed the
finish line 40 seconds after the 1st place winner he is ranked number 73.
To be ranked 73 out of more than 200 elite world class cyclists is a big
achievement in and of itself. Facing tremendous odds and challenging
situations Daniel completed the 6 hours long course with gusto and
determination leaving many experienced and top ranked cyclists in the dust
in the process. Thanks Daniel for representing Eritrea in such a manner, we
are proud of you!
