On the 20th of June 2012, At 11 am every Eritrean, whether at work or school or at home with their families are reminded to do a one minute silence of remembrance of Eritrean martyrs.
The commemoration will start at 4pm and finish by 8 pm.

On this day we are remembering Eritrea's Martyrs, Eritreans who gave their precious life on behalf of theEritrean people. Our martyrs are what give meaning to our existence, our dignity, our Identity, as well as the foundation of Eritrea's development.
