THE PUBLIC MEKHETE SEMINAR SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED IN London - UK
London 18/12/2011The Ambassador of the State of Eritrea to the UK and Ireland Mr Tesfamicael Gerahtu held a public seminar to Eritreans in London and its environs. In the seminar in which more than 1250 Eritreans participated, the Ambassador gave a seminar on the UN Security Council Resolution, the truth and the resilience of the Eritrean Society and economy. The Ambassador in his speech outlined its compliance to the UN Security Council Resolution 1907 and for the sake of justice it ought to be lifted but because of the misguided policy of teh US in the region Resolution 2023 to maintain and complicate the sanction on Eritrea has been passed again. He also stressed on Eritrea's rejection of this reckless sanction resolution as unjust and illegal. Furthermore the Ambassador gave an extensive elaboration Eritrea'sconstructive policy and practice in regional peace and security, Ethiopia's defiance of international law and its continued
occupation of sovereign Eritrean territory, the Somalia crisis and the objective and realistic approaches, the blackmail campaign to tarnish the image of Eritrea, various fabrications and allegations on Eritrea including the recent false allegations that Eritrea supplied three cargo planes of arms to Al Shebab. Finally, the Ambassador gave responses to the various questions and comments raised by participants.
