A public meeting was organized by the Eritrean Community Campaign Committee on Sunday 19 June 2011. Eritrean Ambassador, H.E.Tesfamicael Gerhatu,  was invited to address the meeting. During the occasion the Ambassador briefed the audience on the situation and release of the five Britons by the Government of Eritrea. 
Furthermore, he also notified participants that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 17 June 2011 lifted the travel restriction imposed since on Eritrean diplomats.
