Champion runner to sign autographs at expo

Las Vegas runners are in for a real treat as champion long-distance runner Meb Keflezighi is set to sign autographs and give a talk at the Zappos.com Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon and Half Marathon's Health and Fitness Expo on December 4, 2010.
Keflezighi was interested in running early on. In junior high school, he ran a 5:20 mile. His later success in high school and good grades earned him a scholarship to the University of California - Los Angeles.
As an undergraduate, Keflezighi won four NCAA running titles in one year. He also later graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Communication Studies. After college, Keflezighi pursued a career as a professional runner. He has represented the U.S. at two Olympic Games and several world championships. In 2009, Keflezighi became the first American since Alberto Salazar, in 1982, to win the New York City Marathon.
Keflezighi is from Eritrea, Africa. He became a U.S. citizen in 1998. He is also the author of Run To Overcome. It is a book about his journey from humble beginnings in Eritrea to winning the New York City Marathon. For more information, visit Keflezighi's website at www.marathonmeb.com.
Keflezighi will sign autographs at the Sony booth from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. plus give a talk on stage at 10 a.m. at the expo located inside the Sands Convention Center.
