MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received cables of congratulations from Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Isa'ee, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura, Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Hareb Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs and Lt-Gen. Malik bin Sulaiman Al Ma'amari, Inspector-General of Police and Customs, on the occasion of the Eid Al Adha.

His Majesty the Sultan has also received more cable of congratulations on the occasion of the Blessed Eid Al Adha from the Arab and Islamic nations.

His Majesty has also received cables of congratulations on the occasion from their highnesses, ministers, advisers, commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and Royal Oman Police (ROP), honourable members of the State Council and the Majlis Al Shura, undersecretaries, Omani ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions in the Sultanate, representatives of international organisations and senior officials in the Arab and Islamic world, sheikhs, dignitaries and citizens.

Long life

In his cable, Al Mantheri extended his greetings to His Majesty the Sultan and honourable members of the State Council and personnel on this happy occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty for the return of this blessed occasion on His Majesty with good health, happiness and long life, and bestow Oman and its faithful people with continuous progress and prosperity under His Majesty's prosperous reign. He also wished wellbeing, happiness and prosperity to the Arab and Muslim nations.

In his cable, Al Isa'ee said he was honoured to extend his congratulations to His Majesty and those of the honourable Majlis Al Shura members and personnel on this blessed occasion and the 40th National Day. He said it is a great moment as Eid Al Adha is coinciding with the 40th Anniversary of the National Day of Oman.

He said His Majesty's efforts during the past 40 years, as well as, his just governance and the wise policies have placed the Sultanate at a prestigious position among different countries.

He said His Majesty's foreign policy have developed close and strong relations with leaders and people of different countries of the world. Thanks to his wisdom.

Al Isa'ee expressed his thanks and gratitude and renewed loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty and grant him good health and happiness.

In his cable, Sayyid Badr said he was honoured to extend his congratulations and those of the Armed Forces, Firaq Forces and Ministry of Defence personnel to His Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on this happy occasion.

He said the Sultan's Armed Forces inspired by the meaning and lessons of this blessed occasion and the Haj to continue its sacred duty of safeguarding the soil of this beloved country and its glorious achievements.

Loyalty

He said as the Armed Forces, Firaq Forces and Defence Ministry personnel mark this blessed occasion, they renew their loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty, praying to Allah the Almighty for the return of Eid on His Majesty for years to come and grant him good health, happiness and long life.

Al Ma'amari said he was honoured to extend his congratulations and those of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) personnel to His Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commander, on this blessed occasion.

He said as ROP personnel live in these blessed days in which noble values are high, they continue to perform tasks assigned to them to protect and safeguard the achievements of the past 40 years.

They expressed their loyalty and allegiance to maintain law and order and determined to pursue the course outlined by His Majesty.

He prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty and wellbeing to the Islamic nations.
