Two Ugandans are being held for allegedly killing an Eritrean in the South
Sudan capital of Juba at the weekend.

Tedros Kidane was killed and his car stolen allegedly by the Ugandans. His
body was recovered in a septic tank after five days. The Eritrean was
working with Global Camp Hotel in Juba.

The North Western Regional Police spokesman, Mr Phillip Mukasa, said they
were arrested in Arua District as they tried to sneak into DR Congo with the
stolen vehicle. “These two men murdered their boss and turned around to
accuse him of having stolen a vehicle,” he said.

He said the man are fugitives who should be wiped out of both countries and
security must be stepped up at the Congo border because many criminals use
it as their hideout.

*Fragile security*
South Sudan has enjoyed relative peace after decades of civil war. It
recently attracted hundreds of business people. But the peace is
increasingly becoming fragile with several killings and harassment of
foreign nationals.
