  [23/July/2010]

SANA'A, July 23 (Saba) – Egyptian authorities have released 20 Yemeni
fishermen held there since last month, the almotamar.net reported on Friday.

On the same context, 21 Yemeni fishermen arrived on Thursday at the port of
fishing, Hodeidah, who have been detained with 3 fishing boats while in
international waters during the few past days, the almotamar.net added.

According to the embassy of Yemen to Egypt, the Egyptian authorities
released Wednesday 20 Yemeni fishermen, who were seized last month during
their presence in the areas of international waters located between Sudan
and Saudi Arabia.

The Interior Ministry said it had asked the Foreign Ministry to discuss the
repeated piracy by the Eritrean authorities on the Yemeni fishing boats and
to develop solutions to the problem through diplomatic channels with the
Eritrean side ,so as to put an end to attacks on the Yemeni fishing boats.
