ONLF forces attacked Woyana military bases in Ogaden

On 30 August 2009, Ogaden liberation forces carried out a heavy attack
on a convoy of colonial Ethiopian troops passing through a place called
Irir in Jerar province. In the attack, two Ural trucks in the convoy
were destroyed and all soldiers riding in them were killed.
On 31 August 2009, Ogaden liberation forces mounted an ambush on
colonial Ethiopian troops at a place called Dala Heley in Nogob province
killing two soldiers and wounding four others.
On 1 September 2009, Ogaden liberation fighters and colonial Ethiopian
troops clashed in Diksiley in Babile district. Four colonial Ethiopian
soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in the battle.
On 2 September 2009, four colonial Ethiopian troops were killed and six
others were wounded in a battle at Farakyaha in Dolo province. On the
same date, Ogaden liberation forces carried out two surprise attacks
against colonial Ethiopian troops in Hudur Eyle in Korahey province,
killing two soldiers and wounded four others.
On 3 September 2009, four colonial Ethiopian soldiers were killed and
eight others were wounded in Harad, Babile district.
On 4 September 2009, Ogaden liberation forces carried out a nocturnal
attack on colonial Ethiopian military base in Denan. Massive losses were
inflicted on colonial Ethiopian troops but details of their casualties
On 5 September 2009, Ogaden liberation fighters killed two colonial
Ethiopian soldiers and wounded two others in a sneak attack in Shinile,
