EAAA is proud to announce that members Shewit Weldensea and Meron Fessehaye both of the Charlotte, North Carolina area have shown tremendous amount of progress as the high school cross country season has began.
In the 2009 Adidas Seahawk Cross County Invitational that took place on 9/12/2009 at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Shewit showed that she has what it takes to compete at a high level as she took second place in the Girls 5k Run CC Development with a time of 21:38:02.
Mean while Meron Fessehaye of Charlotte Latin elite high school was very impressive as she ran this past week in the 5000m at Cannon School Invitational, placing 9Th. Meron was the top runner for her school at this 5K invitational in her division.Meron trained this past summer with some of the best Eritrean runners in Asmara during her two months Summer trip to Eritrea.
EAAA looks forward to seeing more excellent results from Shewit and Meron in the very near future. Congratulations to both of them.
