Eritrea, Uganda reach Cecafa final

Nairobi, Kenya - Eritrea turned on the heat on Saturday to beat Sudan
2-0 and earn a place in Monday's final of the Cecafa Under-17 football
in Khartoum , Sudan.
According to the Cecafa press office, the match, staged at the Wadmedani
Stadium, 200 kilometres south of Sudan, ended in a barren draw but the
Eritreans confirmed their place with two quick goals early in extra
time.
They meet Uganda which beat Tanzania 5-3 in the first semi-final in
Khartoum on Friday.
The final is fixed for 10 pm local time while the third place encounter,
between Tanzania and Sudan, is set for 4pm.
In between the matches will be the official closing ceremony.
Tanzania coach Rodrigo Stockler of Brazil will be watching his boys take
on Sudan from the terraces after Cecafa slapped a one-match ban on him
for abusing matc h officials after his side lost to Uganda.
The winner of the tournament take home US$ 15,000, the runner up US$
10,000 while the third placed winner will get US$ 5,000.
