Sanu Intersects 16m of 4.89% Zn, 0.96% Cu and 1.1g/t Au at the Aderat
Prospect 4.5kms North of the Hambok Massive Sulfide Deposit

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2008) - Sanu
Resources Ltd. ("Sanu" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:SNU) is pleased to
announce the results of the recent scout drilling program on its wholly
owned Aderat prospect located 4.5kms north of the Company's Hambok
copper zinc massive sulfide deposit in Western Eritrea.

The best results were from angle drill hole ANK-006 which intercepted
27m grading 3.56% Zn, 0.75% Cu, 0.87gpt (grams per metric tonne) Au from
144 to 173m including 16m grading 4.89% Zn, 0.96% Cu, and 1.04 gpt Au
from 151 to 167m. This higher grade interval is hosted in strongly
altered felsic volcanic rock with disseminated and stockwork sulphide
mineralization which returned an uncut average grade of 1.4% Zn, 0.23%
Cu over 108m. The style of mineralization is characteristic of the
footwall zones of many volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits. Complete
drill results are listed in the attached table.

The Aderat prospect was identified by mechanical trenching through 2 to
4m of overburden in an area with a coincident electro-magnetic conductor
and positive gravity anomaly. The trenches exposed 20 to 30m intervals
of gossan and altered hematitic felsic tuff anomalous in copper, zinc,
gold, molybdenum, bismuth and barium. Four of five holes, (ANK-005,
-006, -009 and -010) drilled on the prospect intersected stockwork and
disseminated sulfides in altered felsic volcanic rocks up to 100m thick.
Thinner 2 to 3m zones of semi-massive to massive sulfides were
intersected in ANK-005 and -006.

Hole ANK-006 was particularly impressive, intersecting the broad
envelope of disseminated mineralization with higher grade intervals
described above. Massive sulfide bands internal to the disseminated zone
yielded higher grade Zn and Cu values and were encountered toward the
base of the disseminated sulfide interval. The altered and mineralized
zone is open along plunge to the north and south.

These results are highly encouraging for Sanu's continued exploration of
the Hambok and other VHMS trends identified on the Mogoraib license
because they demonstrate the presence of a separate precious metal
enriched volcanogenic massive sulfide system on the Hambok trend. The
metal content within the disseminated and stockwork zone intersected in
hole 006 suggests a well mineralized system. A follow-up program of
geophysics and trenching will be done during the remainder of 2008 to
identify targets for early 2009 drilling.

Drill core samples were split on site by diamond saw with half the core
was submitted to African Horn Laboratories in Asmara for crushing and
grinding. Core is retained at Sanu's Mogoraib camp. One split of the
prepared sample pulp was airfreighted to Genalysis Laboratories in
Perth, Western Australia for analysis, and the remainder retained in
Sanu's warehouse in Asmara. High- and low-grade sulfide and oxide
standards constituting roughly 5% of the sample volume were randomly
inserted into the sample stream before shipment of the pulps to
Genalysis. Two duplicate samples were collected every 20 samples, one
sent to Genalysis Labs and one to ALS-Chemex in Vancouver. All sample
data is stored in a secure database on site in Asmara.
