Qatar Emir holds talks with Eritrean president

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and Eritrean President
Isaias Afwerki held talks at the Emiri Diwan yesterday. The talks dealt
with relations between the two countries and ssues of common concern.
The talks were attended on the Qatari side by HE Ahmed bin Abdullah
al-Mahmoud, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh
Abdulrahman bin Saud al-Thani, the Chief of the Emiri Diwan, HE Sheikh
Abdurrahman bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, the Minister of
Municipality and Urban Planning who is also head of the accompanying
mission of honour, HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad al-Thani, the Director of
HH the Emir's Office, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani,
HE Saad bin Mohamed al-Rumaihi, the Secretary of HH the Emir for the
Follow-up, Ambassador Adel Ali al-Khal, the Director of the European and
American Affairs Department who is also Acting Director of the Asian and
African Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry and HE Mohamed Ali
al-Nuaimi, Qatar's Ambassador to Eritrea.
The talks were attended on the Eritrean side by Al Amin Hassan al-Amin,
the Director of the Eritrean president's office and HE Ali Ibrahim
Ahmed, the Eritrean ambassador to Qatar.
Earlier HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani led the
well-wishers to welcome Eritrean president and his accompanying
delegation upon their arrival at Doha International Airport.
Later in the afternoon, President Isaias Afwerki left Doha winding up a
short working visit to Qatar .
President Afwerki was seen off upon departure at Doha International
Airport by Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning HE Sheikh
Abdurrahman bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani who is also head of the
accompanying mission of honour, Qatar's Ambassador to Eritrea HE Mohamed
Ali al-Nuaimi and Eritrean Ambassador to Qatar HE Ali Ibrahim Ahmed.
