15/09/2008: Cameroon's under-17 football team has qualified for the next
round the African cadet championship despite their 0 to 1 defeat
suffered from their Gabonese
counterparts in Bitam.
 
The under-17 football team moves to the next round of the competition
following their 2-1 aggregate win over the under 17 panthers of Gabon.
 
The under-17 lions will play their next match against Eritrea.
 
Meanwhile, Cotton Sport of Garoua lost 0-2 to Tout Puissant of Mazembe
of the Democratic Republic of Congo over the weekend in Lubumbashi.
 
The match counted for Day-5 action in the CAF Champions league.
 
Cotton Sport and Tout Puissant Mazembe now have 7 points each.
 
The defeat of Coton Sport, the former leaders of Group B, has
complicated their chances of qualifying for the semi finals.
 
They are now bound to beat two-time winners Enyimba FC of Nigeria, next
weekend to go through.
 
Cotton sports next match is against Eyimba FC of Aba, Nigeria on the
20th September 2008 in Garoua.
