EAAA events at the Festival Washington, DC
   
  EAAA started its track and field events at the festival with a 400m for both male and female.
   
  In the female competition: the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were are follows
   
  1. Shewit Weldensae from Cary, North Carolina
  2.Shewit Ghebre from Charlotte, North Carolina
  3.Meron Fessehaye from Charlotte, North Carolina
   
  Shewit Weldensae and Meron Fessehaye are both 9th grade and are members of the cross country, track and field at their respective schools. They are both 14 years old and have a great future. EAAA have chatted with their parents and will pay due attention to bring those two runners to be at the top in high school and in college.
   
  In the male under 15 year old. The top three were as follows.
   
  1. Nahom Tsaedu from Charlotte, North Carolina
  2. Abraham Yacob from Lorton, Virginia
  3.Ramzy Hassen from the DC metro area
   
  These three winners are again very young. Nahom and Abraham are new to these track and field events. Nahom started running during EAAA events in Charlotte. Ramzy Hassen an extremely good runner who participated in EAAA events in Toronto in 2002, San Jose in 2004 and many others has a great future in these coming three or four years of high school.
   
  The winners who will be leaving to their states today, Shewit W., Shewit G., Meron and Nahom received their respective trophies from the hands of Ambassador Ghirmay at the show place Arena. Abraham, Ramzy and winners of today's events will receive their prizes at the festival closing ceremony tonight.
