Eritrea Requests For Nigeria's Oil

Government of Eritrea has joined the league of African countries
requesting for Nigeria's assistance in the supply of crude oil.
 
The request came via the Eritrean Minister of Mining and Energy, Tesfai
Ghebresalasse, who was at the State House, Abuja to see President Umaru
Yar'Adua with a special message from his President, Isaias Afwerki.
 
Ghana and Benin Republic had recently made similar requests to Nigeria.
 
Yar'Adua also received another special envoy from President Mamadou
Tandja of Niger Republic, Madame Aichatou Mindaoudou.
 
Mindaoudou, who is Nigerien Minister of Foreign Affairs, brought her
country's appreciation for Nigeria's support and commitment to warm and
cordial bilateral relations.
 
Yar'Adua thanked the two envoys for the special messages and assured
them of Nigeria's continued cooperation.
