Eritrean nationals from the Diaspora who take the
initiative of supporting martyrs’ families visit the
respective families

Adi-Keih, 5 August 2008 - Eritrean nationals residing
abroad who took the initiative of assisting families
of fallen heroes and currently here for vacation
visited the respective martyrs’ families.
During the visit in Adi-Keih organized in
collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Human
Welfare, Ms. Gebriela Misgina, who lives in the UK and
supports 6 families of martyrs, pointed out that
assisting martyrs’ families is a big responsibility
which should be fulfilled by every citizen. She said
that she made the visit to personally witness the
condition of the families and get acquainted with
them.
Noting that assisting martyrs’ families provides
personal satisfaction, Ms. Gebriela further indicated
that her three children have also taken the initiative
of supporting families of fallen heroes.
Mr. Demoz Mengis, a father of 3 martyrs, expressed
appreciation to the support being extended to them on
the part of the people and the Government. He also
stated that the assistance attests to the pledge made
to honor the trust of martyrs as well as the noble
value of mutual care and harmony.
Likewise, Ms. Zafa Bahre, a wife of a martyr, lauded
the support of the Government and nationals at home
and abroad. She added that the visit made by Eritrean
nationals from the Diaspora to personally meet the
families is a clear demonstration of their goodwill
and genuine care.
