Sudanese-Eritrean Talks on Joint Cooperation in Media Field Start
Khartoum, July 11 (SUNA) - Sudanese-Eritrean talks on joint cooperation
in the media field started Wednesday at the Ministry of Information and
Communications where Minister of Information and Communications,
Al-Zahawi Ibrahim Malik, chaired the Sudanese side and Eritrean Minister
of Information Ali Abdo Ahmed headed the Eritrean Side; in the presence
of State Minister at the Ministry of Information, Dr. Kamal Obeid,
Information Adviser Dr. Rabie Abdel-Atti and Director of the External
Information Administration Bakri Mulah as well as the Eritrean
Ambassador in Khartoum.
Following the meeting, Dr. Obeid said in press statement that the talks
reviewed joint cooperation in the fields of media and engineering
programmes, adding that the meeting asserted importance of agreement
over joint programme for training media cadres in coordination between
the two ministries by employing the available resources through the
joint ministerial committee, working for development of cooperation.
He added that the Eritrean delegation would pay visits to media
institutions including the radio and TV to get acquainted with the
