Celebrate with NAECA in Asmara

The North American Eritrean Community Association (NAECA) invites you
to join members, families, and friends to celebrate Eritrea’s 20th
Independence Anniversary with special events in Asmara. These events
are intended to promote internal tourism, to share your love with
orphans, visit historical places, enjoy culture and entertainment in
comfort. Some of the special events will be highlighted below and
please, note your calendar.

       1. May 14 (Saturday Eve): - At Mdre Genet, NAECA’s Community
Center (Across from
           City Park) there will be a Welcome Party. The Center is
ideal place to watch the
           Independence celebration Street Carnival at the heart of
Asmara. There will be
           entertainment, dinner and refreshments.

      2. May 23 (Monday): - Join NAECA visit an Orphanage for
lunch. Members will prepare
           lunch for the children. Individual presents are welcome,
also. Throw a pen, pencil, a toy,
           something in your luggage. Let us share our love and
compassion with those who need it.

      3. May 27-29 – First Tour: - Asmara – Semyenawi BaHri –
Massawa – Dahlak and Dessie
          Islands. Starting early Friday morning the tour will go
through the scenic Semyenawi
         BaHri Reserve and breakfast will be available at Sabur and
lunch at GaHtelay. The bus
         arrives in Massawa soon after and head to the International
Airport and Gurgusum. Back
         to Dahlak Hotel to Massawa in the evening. Although
optional, arrangements for dinner
         and accommodations have been made with Dahlak Hotel, at fair
price.

      Early Saturday, the group will embark a boat headed to Dahlak
Island. A visit to a live
      market and the Italian prison of NaKura are scheduled. Lunch
will be served in the boat.
      The boat will go to Dessie Island soon after. At Dessie Island
there will be a campfire,
      dinner and accommodation for the night.

      Sunday, breakfast, swimming, visit to a village and lunch. In
the afternoon the boat will arrive
      at Massawa and continue to Asmara by bus.

      Attention!
      Saturday lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast, lunch, as well as,
accommodations for
      Saturday night are part of the tour package price. This is a
very popular tour and it is on
      first come first served basis. Reserve your seats as soon as
possible. You can express
      your interest by e-mail or phone number (see below). Seats can
only be reserved after
      payment. Total price for the tour package is 5000.00 Nackfa.

       4. June 3-5 – Second Tour: - Asmara – Bisha – Sawa – Tesseney
– Telata Asher
            (Eritrean – Sudanese Border). Friday, start early AM, and
arrive at Bisha gold mine
            before lunch. After exploring Bisha the bus continues to
Sawa for lunch, and thereafter
            to Tesseney. On Saturday, after breakfast, visits to
Gerset, Fanco (Rawa and Tsmu’e),
            Ali Gider Dam, Telata Asher and back to Tesseney are
scheduled. In the evening a
           Special Dinner and entertainment will be provided for the
group as part of the tour
           package price. Sunday, a visit to Alebu and continue back
to Asmara. This is also first
           come first served. Seats are reserved after payment. The
tour price package is 1500.00
           Nacfa.

       5. June 20th – Martyr’s Day: - NAECA has a special lot at
Park Sema’tat, in the outskirts
            of Asmara, where members plant seedlings and care for them
by going every last
           Sunday of every month. This June 20th , you are invited to
come out and help us plant
           more seedlings.
