Over the course of 2010, we have witnessed Eritreans in the diaspora and
within Eritrea make their voices heard regarding unfair foreign policy
against Eritrea. We have watched as thousands gathered, commuting hundreds
of miles to demonstrate against unjust sanctions. We have read letters of
protest to our adopted nations’ leaders asking them to reevaluate their
policies on the Horn of Africa and relations with Eritrea and our voices
have been heard. Merih promises to capture today’s movement for freedom, the
relentless efforts of Eritreans across the globe, and to inform and inspire
everyone with information about what is taking place in Eritrea and in the
Diaspora.

As always, this newsletter is for Eritrean youth by Eritrean youth,
therefore your input is essential and appreciated. Without continuous
efforts to share our own stories and unwavering demands to have our voices
heard, we will remain stagnant and unable to respond to the call of our
country and our people.
