Sudan, Libya form joint committee for investment in East Sudan
Tripoli, Jan. 8 (SUNA) - Assistant of the President of the Republic, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, has lauded the implementation of East Sudan Peace Agreement, affirming the concern and seriousness of the government to solve Darfur issue
He also revealed that the government works for unity of Sudan even if the southerners choose to separate
This came when Ahmed was addressing the Sudanese Community in Tripoli, highlighting on the outcome of the International Donors Conference for Development of East Sudan, which was held in Kuwait recently, as well as his meeting with the Secretary General of the People's General Committee in Libya
Meanwhile, the Assistant of the President said in a statement to SUNA, following his address to the Sudanese community, that his visit to Libya comes as part of the International Conference on Development of Eastern Sudan in a view that the Libyan Jamahiriya has contributed remarkably to the signing of East Sudan Peace Agreemen
Ahmed revealed the formation of a joint Sudanese - Libyan committee to sponsor the Libyan Investments in Eastern Sudan as well as contributing to the development in the region, expecting Libya to play a great role in the development and humanitarian aspects of the area
The Assistant of the Republic said that he will meet with the Libyan civil society organizations in the coming two days to discuss their contributions to the humanitarian aspects in Sudan
It is to be noted that Assistant of the President, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, and the State Minister at the Ministry of Environment, Mabrouk Saleem Mubarak, arrived in Tripoli Wednesdayevening in an official visit to Libya
