Assab Port ready to render efficient service

Assab, 28 January 2009 - Assab Port is now ready to render efficient service
thanks to the renovation and putting in place of infrastructure facilities,
according to Mr. Dawit Mengisteab, manager of the Port Authority.
Accordingly, a 107 meter-long docking facility that meets international
standard has been constructed on the basis of internal resource. He further
pointed out that old water pipelines which used to trickle large amount of
water have now been replaced with over 3,000 meter-long new pipelines.
Moreover, Mr. Dawit stated that 95% of the renovation task of major stores,
offices and workshops has been finalized.
