cause

Wimbledon schoolchildren were transformed into caped crusaders last week
to raise to money for charity.

Pupils at All Saints primary school in Wimbledon held a superhero themed
fancy dress day on Friday to help fund education in Africa.

A spokesman for the school said: "We are raising funds for one of our
teachers who joined Voluntary Service Overseas and went to Eritrea. "She
is training teachers there and they are in great need of resources."

The event was part of the East Road school's Lent fundraising appeal,
which is set to continue until the end of May.
