Kuwaitis urged to leave Ethiopia due to deteriorating security situation

Kuwait: Kuwaiti nationals were urged to leave Ethiopia or use caution to ensure their safety.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Addis Ababa issued the advisory following the decision of the Ethiopian government to declare a state of emergency in the country for six months.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Ethiopia Rashid Al-Hajeri called upon his compatriots not to travel to Ethiopia "under any circumstances".

Kuwaitis urged not to visit troubled Ethiopia 
KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti Embassy in Ethiopia has appealed to citizens not to travel to Addis Ababa now because of the developments of security situations there. 
Kuwaiti Ambassador Rashed Al-Hajri advised, in a statement a copy of which KUNA received, Kuwaitis to avoid visiting Ethiopia now “under any circumstances”. 
He also urged Kuwaitis currently in Ethiopia either to leave the country immediately or to be vigilant and cautious for their safety. 
The Ethiopian government declared a state of emergency on Sunday across the country for six months so as to restore stability. The country has been witnessing protests for several weeks, leading to the killing of scores of people.
