Publication of three books
Asmara, 17 May 2016- The manager of the Hidri publishers, Mr. Isaak Yosief indicated that three new books written in connection with the Silver Jubilee Independence Day are published. The titles of the books are ‘Mefexemta” (the closing stage) “Dejen” (behind the front line) and” Gedli Deqi Anstyo” (Women’s struggle). He said that each book has 500 pages and contains 110 short stories narrating about the experiences during the armed struggle for independence.
The book “Mefexemta” narrates stories from the period of the Fenkil operation to liberate the port city of Massawa up to the days of independence. The book “Dejen” narrates the activities of the combatants and the public behind the front line, while “Gedl Deqi Anstyo” narrates the role and contribution of the Eritrean women during the armed struggle for independence.
According to the manager of Hidri publishers, the official launching of the books will be conducted on 27 May at the Expo Hall.
