About 30 South Sudanese refugees suspected of killing 10 Ethiopian aid workers at Jawi refugee camp in Gambella state of Ethiopia has been detained, APA learns of Monday.The aid workers were killed in an attack carried out by the refugees after a car owned by Safe the Children accidentally killed two children in the camp last Thursday.

In a press conference over the weekend, Chief Administrator of Gambella regional state, Gatluak Tut said about 30 people suspected of carrying out the attack were arrested and investigation is underway.

He expressed his deepest condolence over the killing of the innocent Ethiopians who have no link with the car accident.

About 250 thousand refugees from the neighboring South Sudan have been sheltered in Gambella state of Ethiopia following the out break of internal conflict in December 2013.
